When using NoteScribe to keep track of your notes for work, school, or business, you might find it useful to add an occasional graph, article in PDF format, or an image to supplement your written material. With NoteScribe's attachments feature you will be able to add all of these file types, and more. If, for example, you're compiling all of your recipes in NoteScribe, you might want to attach an image of the finalized presentation of the dish to the note. That way, when you open up the recipe, you can see the finalized version of what you're making! Or here's another example: if you use your note taking software for work, you could attach important charts or graphs to the notes that you took in a meeting with a client or co-workers. If you're a graduate student, it's quite likely that you're reading over articles in a PDF format. Save yourself some time and attach the PDF directly to the notes that you are taking from the article. In addition to PDF's, audio, and images, you can also attach video, spreadsheets, text files, HTML, and code files. Another great thing about the attachments feature in NoteScribe is, you can transfer the files you attach along with your notes to your peers or co-workers. Instead of sending multiple files containing your notes and graphs, send a single file containing everything your co-worker will need from you. As you can see, Attachments can be a vital part of your note-taking by further supplementing every note you take. The attachments feature will save you time, and help you to capture a visual of what you're writing. Stay tuned for more tips on NoteScribe and our premier note software!
Hello everyone, Over the past few weeks I have been in contact with a few users of NoteScribe, and I have been told that our note taking software is a useful tool for writers. As you may have noticed in the Econtent review, NoteScribe was cited as being a useful tool for the reviewer. We have also heard from a few other users that they use it for such projects as writing and keeping track of blogs, research for novels and academic texts, and of course, it can be a great tool for keeping track of notes while compiling a thesis or dissertation. If you're a writer and you're interested in finding additional programs beyond your notes software to help improve your writing, I would suggest swinging over to Dave Haslett's "Software for Writer's" blog. Dave's website has an exceptional amount of information for helping writers, including; software and programs beyond NoteScribe that could be useful for writers (including a nod to NoteScribe), and how to get started with your writing. We'd like to thank Dave for adding our software to his blog, and also for creating a valuable blog and information resource for writers across the web. Additionally, for writers and for students composing dissertations, reports, or a thesis, check out Dave's latest book, "The Fastest Way to Write your Book". It's a helpful resource for keeping you motivated, and keeping you writing at a faster (and more productive) rate. The above link will take you directly to the website for the book, so be sure to swing by there and let Dave know what you think. Best, Jake
I wanted to do a quick write up about a resource that I recently located, that I felt might be useful in helping people to organize their notes. The website is an academic affiliated website and contains an article on five different note-taking systems, including; The Cornell Method, The Outlining Method, the Mapping Method, the Charting Method, and the Sentence Method. Reading over the article will help you to explore new types of note taking while using your note software, NoteScribe. NoteScribe is already well equipped to help you with the Cornell, Outlining, and Sentence methods of note-taking, as we have a comprehensive outlining tool built within the edit note window. Be sure to check out the article if you have a free moment, I believe it would be beneficial for anyone looking to improve their methods of note-taking. Jake NoteScribe: Premier Note Taking Software
NoteScribe was recently added to the education software download section over at PCWorld.com. Additionally, we received an Editorial Review covering a few of the highlights of the program. We'd like to thank PCWorld for taking a moment to review our note taking software, as it is greatly appreciated, and has been a big help in expanding our reputation. From PCWorld: "Notescribe can be used by anyone who has a lot of snippets of data to organize, but it is best for researchers or academics." Video Tutorials Update I also wanted to point out that we have recently updated our Video Tutorial section. The section is now in an FAQ format, and should be much easier to navigate. Recently, we added videos demonstrating how notes software can benefit students and researchers, and also videos that cover all of the features of NoteScribe Premium, including; Upgrading from Premium and switching back to basic, how to use the NoteScribe calendar, creating multiple databases, using the multiple sources feature, and using the multiple category sets feature. Thank you for stopping by to read the blog, and stay tuned for future updates to the program and the website. Jake NoteScribe: Premier Note Taking Software
NoteScribe was recently reviewed by Econtent Magazine. Econtent's review was highly favorable, and we're hoping to have the full review up on the NoteScribe website soon. Until then, I wanted to show everyone a few quotes from the write-up: NoteScribe By Jan Davis - Sept. 2008 "I appreciate one of NoteScribe’s taglines: Save a Forest, NoteScribe It! because it advocates saving paper by taking and storing notes online. But I’d add another phrase: Save your Sanity, NoteScribe It! because this excellent program allows you to organize your notes by categories, keywords, and sources; add files from a variety of formats; and find your notes quickly and painlessly." "No matter how organized my notes may be, I must say that I appreciate NoteScribe’s robust search feature. Since I took the time to assign each note to a category and then to add several descriptive keywords, I could later pinpoint the note I needed. It is easy to find a note by keyword, category, or source." "The Source feature is another program highlight, and I imagine professors are grateful to Sholl for creating it. As an adjunct instructor myself, I’ve witnessed firsthand how students would rather go to the dentist than prepare footnotes and bibliographies. NoteScribe’s Source function is easy to use, and in the long-run, it saves time because I can input bibliographic data into a template as I add each note. I can also sort through sources and filter them by authors, publications, or titles." Thank you again to Econtent Magazine for their excellent write-up on our Notes Software, NoteScribe. We look forward to seeing more of the same in the near future. Jake NoteScribe: Premier Note Taking Software
